June 03 About the portraitsAll animal portraits are done in colour pencil unless otherwise specified. I have over 25 years of experience in working in pencil, I find they give me the level of detail I like to have in the portraits. The pencils are artists quality, lightfast (colourfast) acid free and very durable. I spray the finished work with fixative to make it even more so and to protect the art. Even so, colour pencil work, like pastel, must be framed and protected with glass. :) |
